Biography |

A fine art photographer, Lisa M. Robinson has been exhibiting her work since 1996. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English from Columbia University and received her Master’s of Fine Arts in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her work has received numerous honors and awards, including a Fulbright scholarship to pursue her photographic projects in Argentina. Her photographs have been exhibited nationally and internationally, in solo and group exhibitions. Her current project, entitled SNOWBOUND, was nominated for the Santa Fe Prize in Photography in 2004 and was exhibited at the Griffin Museum of Photography in April, 2006. It was exhibited in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as part of the Festival de la Luz in August, 2006; in Aleppo, Syria, as part of the International Photography Gathering in September, 2006; in Kaunas, Lithuania, as part of Kaunas Photo Days in September, 2006; in Montevideo, Uruguay, in November, 2006; and in Santiago, Chile, as part of FotoAmericas in November, 2006. In October, 2006, it will be exhibited at Galleri Image in Arhus, Denmark. Domestically, SNOWBOUND will be exhibited in September, 2006 at the Jack Leigh Gallery in Savannah, GA, at the Sol Mednick Gallery in Philadelphia, PA, in November, and at the Woodstock Center for Photography in Woodstock, NY, in January, 2007. Awards include fellowships at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts in Amherst, VA, the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, CO, and the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT. Lisa recently completed a month as the Artist-in-Residence at Light Work in Syracuse, NY. She was a printing assistant for George Tice in 2002, and continues to teach photography at the college level in New York, where she currently lives and works.
